Meet the team behind the adventures

Chris Curtis
Co-Founder and Lead Story Designer
Chris has experience as a community support worker, giving him lots of insight into supporting neurodivergent and developmentally disabled children, teens, and adults. He has been a Game Master since 2018 and designed the Quirky Quest system specifically for these participants, making the program fun, accessible, and engaging. Chris creates all of the illustrations for Quirky Quest and runs the game sessions, tailoring each adventure to the needs of the group. He is also an audiobook narrator and voice actor, which comes in handy when bringing characters and stories to life at the table.
At Quirky Quest, Chris is dedicated to making every session welcoming, where players can express themselves, build friendships, and feel truly included. When he is not running games, he enjoys sketching, gaming, and brainstorming new stories and characters for future adventures.

Marissa Curtis
Co-Founder and Adventure Coordinator
Marissa brings ten years of experience as an education assistant and has dedicated her skills to supporting the growth and learning of children and teens. She also has experience as a behaviour interventionist, respite worker, and community support worker. Marissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Education, graduating with great distinction. Her extensive volunteer work with youth, combined with having neurodiverse siblings including a developmentally disabled adult sibling, gives her a unique perspective on understanding and supporting each participant.
At Quirky Quest, Marissa focuses on administration and assists Chris during sessions to help ensure a smooth and organized adventure for all players.
